فلسطين - صناعة الفخار في غزة ما بين الإرث الثقافي وقلة الإقبال تعتبر صناعة الفخار من أهم وأقدم الحرف التي عرفتها فلسطين قبل أربعة آلاف سنة قبل الميلاد، وتحتل غزة المرتبة الأولى على مستوى فلسطين في صناعة الأواني الفخارية التي ما زالت تصارع من أجل بقائها في ظل التطور التكنولوجي الذي غزا كافة أرجاء العالم، ويعمد الحرفيون على توريث المهنة لأبنائهم حفاظاً على استمراريتها كونها مصدر رزق وطوق نجاة لهم، ويشير مالكو مصانع الفخار إلى أن الفخار لا يزال يحتفظ بمكانته التاريخية بالرغم من انخفاض الطلب على اقتناء بعض الأواني الفخارية، والتي لا يقومون بصناعتها إلا بناء على طلب بعض الزبائن، وأوضح سيد عطا الله وهو مالك لأحد المصانع في المدينة أن أرباح هذه الصناعة محدودة جداً، وتكاد تفي ببعض متطلباتنا اليومية، لقلة مبيعاتها وانحصار تصديرها، وذلك نتيجة غزو الصناعات البلاستيكية والزجاجية والمعدنية التي يتم استيرادها من الصين وبعض الدول الأجنبية، وتميزها بانخفاض أسعارها رغم رداءة الخامات المصنوعة منها.
