    @randallchinn18502 years ago Hi ryan. Enjoyed your video on a slice serve. I do have a question, however. How do you differentiate between pronating on a slice serve and a topspin serve? Is it when contact is made? That' s really a fine line.

    @rodf90002 years ago Ive seen slice serve instruction videos showing pros (andy murray et al) not pronating and instead scooping the racket on the follow through and i do id="hidden5"both. Not sure which is better or what the trade offs are. But i think the scoop method is more consistent and the pronation one creates more speed and spin in the direction to slice the ball more. Not sure about affect on arm, but think scoop is more shoulder and pronation forearm. I will go back to pronation tomorrow and see how it works since my shoulder is sore. Thanks ryan!. ...Expand

    @goldwolf06062 years ago Thats a horrible way to hit a slice serve youll hurt yourself. They way you say not to hit it, is the way you should hit it. Slightly chop down from id="hidden7"the side as youre striking it almost like a normal serve: power going forward and with a slight wrist snap to get it to go down. Least amount of torsion and strain on your body with exact same slice spin result. ...Expand 2
