Sad I’m 37 now and all I see in the comments are how young the people are that are now discovering or grew up with Nickelback at such young ages. It was during what was really the height of the conflict in the Middle East and I thought the lyrics where "Someday, somehow, I'm gonna be in Iraq, but not right now" I thought it was about a soldier spending his last few days with his family before he was shipped out to fight. He had a conflict with one of his close relatives (like his dad) and wanted to resolve it before he left because he knew he might not survive his tour. ...7

@chelseacollins39449 years agoWhy does everyone hate and or dislike Nickelback all of a sudden? Sure he makes different music but that's the way management works. If they keep making the same type of album people are gonna get bored with it! He and his band had to move on to make different music for the new album and if you guys don't like it then go hate on it somewhere else. It isn't your call. Just saying..... I am only 12 and I listen to a lot of the old music. In that case, this music isn't 'that' old. Sure it was back in my mothers days, (She is 44) at least some kids and adults actually HAVE taste in music. Rather that all that grind on me shit.... Like really? My little brother listens to anything he sees on YouTube and trust me, my mother wasn't too happy about that. What I am trying to get at is that Nickelback isn't really all that old but some people see it that way. I grew up listening to this group. I still think they are really good.
