@leslielelaind499710 months ago I’m 48 and been using this combination since my 20’s and although I have a incurable disease I don’t get sick often and I credit it to my love affair with turmeric 261

@sararockafella11 months ago Turmeric is most effective with a fat source aka cocoanut oil, ghee. As its fat soluble. I throw cocoanut oil into my smoothie if I have turmeric in it. I don't do dairy. 460

@mrwiggiewoo11 months ago I like to peel and slice ginger, put it in a jar and cover the slices with dry sherry. It will keep in the fridge forever and is wonderful for sauces and stir frys. Then I always have ginger at the tip of my fingers and it's not buried under the bag of onions hiding in my produce drawer.😄 ... 103

@christinapalafox6 months ago I usually freeze my ginger and use a microplane to grate it as needed. The skin isn't even an issue, the bits are super tiny. 4
  • @
@beebuzz9599 months ago Ginger also freezes really well. I just grate what i need and throw the rest back on for later. I also don't peel it. I read a thing that some chefs debated and found no need to do so. 12

@f4h2166 months ago If you're going to try this with supermarket gingers, please peel them! Suoermark ones are usually sprayed with growth retardant. Careful how much ginger you consume as well 6
  • @
@Delehh6 months ago 1. Important point: it is better to use tangerines instead of oranges (after removing the pigtails) - tangerine berries have much more nutrients than oranges and they are sweet.
    2. Dry the resulting base at a temperature not higher than 50 °C (in a dehydrator or oven with the door ajar) - In this way, all the nutrients will be preserved.

@charlottebezuidenhout26906 months ago My understanding is that vitamins start dying once juiced. That is why one must drink immediately and not keep it in the fridge. Correct me if I am wrong. I may be outdated with my resources… so many studies all the time… I cant keep up 🤷‍♀️ ... 14
