Ingredients required
Thinai /Foxtail millet- 3 tbsp
Ragi /Finger millet- 3 tbsp
Kuthiravali /Barnyard millet-3 tbsp
Varagu / Kodo millet- 3 tbsp
Saamai /Little millet- 3 tbsp
Grated jaggery – 3/4 - 1 cup
Cardamom seeds- 4 nos
Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
Melted Ghee – 6 tbsp (adjust)
How to make millet ladoo
1. In a wide Kadai, take all the millets and cardamom seeds and dry roast it in medium flame till u get a nice roasted aroma.
2. Allow it to cool. In the meantime, grate the jaggery and melt it.
3. Grind the roasted millets to a fine powder and sieve if necessary.
4. After grinding it smooth, add the grated jaggery and grated coconut.
5. Check for sweetness and add more jaggery if needed.
6. Add the melted ghee. Mix well with the ladle as the ghee is hot.
7. Once the mixture is warm, mix well with your hands and make ladoos.
